Blue Zones Project Scottsdale is launching a free Walking Moai program that will meet for 10 weeks in Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Rd., from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Meet on the first floor center area near indoor Lululemon, H&M and Lucid Motors.
The term “Moai’ comes from Okinawa, Japan, one of the original blue zones, and means coming together for a common purpose. Roughly half of Okinawans belong to a Moai, where each member commits to supporting each other.
Each week, participants will receive a free coffee compliments of Capital One Cafe and entry to win a $50 Scottsdale Fashion Square restaurant gift card. Those who participate in all 10 sessions will receive a Capital One Care swag bag and have the chance to win a $100 prize donated by Scottsdale Fashion Square.
