A 29-year-old man died Monday when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pickup truck on East Indian School Road, Phoenix police said.
The crash occurred about 6 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 4200 block of East Indian School Road.
Kevin Devlin was headed east on Indian School when his motorcycle collided with the Toyota pickup, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
Police officers found Devlin suffering from critical injuries, and Phoenix Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives took over the investigation and stated in the release that preliminary information suggests that the motorcyclist and truck driver collided as the Toyota was making a left turn out of a private drive attempting to go west on Indian School Road.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, “but it is believed to have come off in the collision,” the release stated.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, showing no signs of impairment, police said.
