Peoria Artisan Brewery, at 10144 W. Lake Pleasant Parkway, has released its collaboration brew with the Peoria Fire-Medical Department.
Sales of Sirens Red IPA benefit Peoria Firefighters Charities, a nonprofit started in 2000.
“Crafted with Marris Otter, Munich, Carafoam and Crystal Malts - you get a slightly bready aroma as you approach the beer,” Peoria Artisan Brewery describes on its Facebook page. “Sirens is aggressively hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Citra which leave a lingering bitterness on your tongue.”
Firefighter captain Jesse Anderson and PAB head brewer Kim Schoenberg also added fresh red beet juice to enhance the color. The beer pours with a slightly off-white head and finishes crisp.
The brew is available only while supplies last.
This is the second collaboration of Sirens Red between Peoria Fire-Medical and Peoria Artisan Brewery, which raised $1,000 with the inaugural batch.
