Plexus Worldwide makes $5,000 Veterans Day donation
Posted
Plexus Worldwide, a Scottsdale health and wellness company, made a $5,000 donation to the Veterans Heritage Project in honor of Veterans Day.
The donation will support the nonprofit’s efforts to give military heroes a voice and keep their stories alive for younger generations by connecting students with veterans through experiential learning programs, a press release explained.
To honor the bravery and legacy of servicemen and servicewomen, Plexus invited veteran Rick Gregory, U.S. Army, who served in Afghanistan and Vietnam War veteran Sam Rosselli, U.S. Marines, to share their stories and experiences during and after their time in the service.
“Plexus is proud to support Veterans Heritage Project to help further its goal of empowering students to discover their potential while honoring veterans,” said Alec Clark, president and founder of Plexus Worldwide, in the release. “We take immense pride in helping our military heroes preserve their legacy and place in our history.”
Dedicated to fostering character in students while honoring the sacrifice made by our servicemen and servicewomen, the Veterans Heritage Project helps bridge the gap between civilian and military life, the release stated.
To date, Plexus has donated over $27,000 in support of these initiatives, which have inspired over 56,000 students to pursue higher education and acquire the skills necessary to become the leaders of tomorrow.
During the event, Plexus presented the donation to the Veterans Heritage Project to help sustain their programs.
According to the release, Plexus is committed to supporting the military and veteran community through partnerships with organizations, including Our Military Kids, Folds of Honor AZ, and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, making in-kind donations and monetary contributions that help fund education initiatives and support for military families.
