Scottsdale police identify woman shot in her home

David Zhu has been booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a homicide charge after police say he shot and killed his wife Susan Yijuan Yan on Aug. 17.

Police have identified the woman who was shot in her home in the 9300 block of North 128th Way Aug. 17 as 46-year-old Susan Yijuan Yan.
Authorities allege David Zhu shot and killed his wife in the icdident. Zhu has been booked into Maricopa County Jail on a homicide charge.
Scottsdale police went to the home Saturday night after receiving reports of a shooting. They found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
The two’s children, and adult daughter and a teenage son, were in the home at the time of the shooting, according to Scottsdale Police, who have no plans of releasing their names. The department’s crisis intervention services personnel are assisting the family.
