Glendale will be the site for the 23rd Annual Arizona Authors Association Literary Awards Banquet.
Writers from across the country will be honored for their achievements in fiction, nonfiction, children's books, poetry, essays, short stories and novels.
The event goes from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in the private banquet room of Bottega's Ristorante, 19420 N. 59th Ave.
The event will be emceed by Penny Orloff, a Juilliard-trained Broadway musical theater actress currently touring the U.S. in her solo show “Songs and Stories from a Not-Quite-Kosher Life.” The banquet will feature live entertainment from Tribute, a local barbershop quartet, and a menu that includes chicken pizzaiola, pasta al pomodoro, and mini tiramisu. Tickets are $50.
The Arizona Authors Association is a nonprofit founded in 1978.
