Rosie's House, a Phoenix nonprofit that provides disadvantaged youth with free music education and help to prepare for college, will host several open house events for new students.
Rosie’s House, located at 919 E. Jefferson St., annually serves more than 600 students from pre-K through 18 years of age. Each year, Rosie's provides over 25,000 free music lessons in a variety of disciplines including strings, winds, mariachi, choir, digital music, piano, guitar and percussion, as well as an early music program for pre-K children.
Families can view the facility and programs at Rosie's House, which is enrolling new students for the 2024-25 school year.
Visitors can tour the 15,000-square foot campus including the Divine Performance Hall, cafe, digital lab and piano lab as well as meet staff. Students can explore instruments such as violin, cello and other stringed instruments, winds such as trumpet and saxophone and flute.
Mariachi instruments, like the guitar, guitarron, vihuela, violin, trumpet, and voice, can also be explored.
Open house dates start at 5:30 p.m. and take place on Tuesday, Feb. 27; Thursday, March 7; Wednesday, March 27; Wednesday, April 10; and Tuesday, April 23. There will also be an 11 a.m. open house on Saturday, March 23.
