The inaugural Arizona Salsa Fest is coming to Glendale this spring.
The one-day foodie event has revealed its first two restaurant participants: The Mexicano by Chef Joey Concepts and Sabor A Mi, who are bringing their culinary prowess to the Great Lawn outside State Farm Stadium at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9.
The restaurants will be setting up a “pop-up” restaurant space on the Great Lawn alongside 20 other local eateries from across the state. Guests will indulge in the authentic flavors of the restaurants’ favorite dishes while pairing them with the salsas throughout the festival.
Experiential VIP tickets allow those festivalgoers to gain access to an exclusive mixology session with celebrity bartender Rob Floyd, known for his appearances on popular TV shows such as "Bar Rescue,” and can savor a complimentary tasting menu curated by the Arizona chef and owner of Requinto in Phoenix, Erick Pineda.
